Malta Visas
Entry Visas
A visa to enter Malta is not required by:
-
citizens of countries having bi-lateral
agreements with Malta,
-
citizens of British Commonwealth countries, UK
dependencies; and
-
citizens of member countries of the Council of
Europe.
Single entry visas are normally granted
for one month to applicants who require visas for tourist visits or to
attend particular events.
Multiple entry visas are issued for
periods of 3, 6 or 12 months and are normally granted to applicants who
visit Malta frequently, for instance, persons trying to start up a business
in Malta.
Student visas are issued upon evidence
that the applicants will be following full time schooling in Malta. The visa
is issued for the length of the academic year.
Transit visas are issued to nationals
of states that require visas if the nationals have confirmed tickets to
other destinations and if they remain in Malta no longer than 24 hours.
